Referring to the affairs of Ireland, the Premier declared that it wag the duty of Her Maj sty’s Government to execute the mandate of ’he electors that the integrity of the Empire should be preserved, and that the law should be enforced in Ireland With regard to the British occupation of Egypt, Lo-d Salisbury stated the time for the withdrawal of the British troops would depend on the conclusion of their task. It would be necessary to secure that country from foreign aggression, and its independence of external control. He condemned the conspiracy which had resulted in the dethronement of Prince Alexander of Bulgaria, and the eff.rts which had been made by Russia to save the p'otters from punishment. Europe, he declared, viewed with regret Russian trespasses on the rights of Bulgarians. England would not be backward in recognising her duty should the Great Powers decide to vindicate the execution of the Treaty of Berlin. Lord Salisbury stated that the policy of Austria with reference to affairs in the Beltran Peninsular would largely influence the policy of the British Government. Ha expressed a belief that peace would be maintained, bat it would be necessary for England to defend her interests whenever they were attacked. London, November 10.
