DELIRIUM TREMENS CASES
Chkistohuroh, November 3 At the mee’ing of the Hospital Board to-day, a letter was read from the Inspector of Prisons stating that the Minister for Justice saw no reason to alter his opinion that delirium tremens cases could lawfully be remanded to hospitals for treatment, and that therefore such cases would not be admitted into the prisons after March 31 next. The Board decided to communicate with other Hospital Boards in the colony, with a view to concerted action being taken to prevent the hospitals being need for the reception of these cases.
