Alexandria, October 25 It is announced that the Caisse de la Dette Publique have sufficient funds in hand to pay the November coupons, and at ibw s..mc time to repay the previous deductions on the coupons. Serious disturbances have taken place in the Isle of Skye, where the crofters resisted the bailiffs, and stoned the police who came to their assistance. Melbourne, October 27. The Manager of the National Mortgage & Agency Co. reports as follows of the Local market:—Wheat is difficult of sale, even at a slight reduction. It is quoted from 5s id to 5s 2d per bushel; barley, which shows no signs of improvement, 3s qd to 4s; potatoes, seed sorts, 3s to 3s 3d, prices being barely maintained ; oats (milling sorts), 3s 3d to 3s sd, Market quieter and weaker; New Zealand oats, under bond slow of sale at 2s 4d to 2s 6d.
