Tho second dose eased mo so much that 1 slept two hours, something I had not done for two months. Before I had used five bottles, I was well and at work as hard as any man could, for over throe weeks ; but I worked too hard for my strength, and taking a hard cold, I was taken with the most acute and painful rheumatism all through my system that was ever known. “I called the doctors again, and after several weeks they loft him a cripple on crutches for life, as they said. I met a friend and told him my case, and ho said Hop Bitters had cured him and would cure me. I poohed at him, but ho was so earnest I was induced to use them again. In less than four weeks, I threw atvay my crutches and went to work lightly and kept 0.1 using tho bitters for live weeks, until I became as well ns any man living, and have been so for sis years since. A WOMAN’S SUFFERINGS AND GRATITUDE. A VOICE FROM AUSTRIA. Near the village of Zilhngdorf, in lowa Austria, lives Maiia Haas, an inte Hgent ami industiious woman whose sUry of phjs'cal suffering an 1 final relief, as related i y herself is of interest to English woman. “I was employ d,” site ‘ays, “in the work if a la'ge farmhouse Ova rwoik brought on sick headache, followed hyadealhly fainting and sic: ness of the stomach, until 1 was unable to retain 'either fond or diink. 1 was compelled to take to n y bed for several weeks. Getting a it tic bette- from rest and quie', I sought to do some work but was s on taken willi a pam in my side, which in a little " hile seem to spread over my whole body, and thr bbed in my every limb. This was followed by a cough and shortness of breath, until finally I could rot st w, and I took to my bed for the second, and, as 1 thought, for the laT time. My f lends 101 l me that niv time had nearly come, and, that 1 could rot live longer than when the trees 1 ]ul on th ir green once more. Then I , happened to get one of the Seigel i amphlets. I 1 read it, and my dear mother bought me a butt’c of beige!’,- Syrup, which I took exactly j aec-rding to directions, and 1 had not taken the whole of it I efore 1 fed a gieat change for j the better. My last illness began June 3rd, i ISS2, and continued to August 9, when I began to take the Syrup. Very soon I cou’d do a little light work. The couch left me, and I was no mi re troubled in breathing. Now I am perfectly cured. And oh, how happy 1 am 1 1 cannot expre-s gratitude enough for Siegel's Syrup. Now 1 must tell you that the ‘doctors in our dhlricl distributed handbi Is cautioning people against the medicine, telling them it would do t em no good, and many were thereby influenced to ties'roy the Seigel pamphlets ; but now, wherever one is to lie found, it is kept like a rehc. The few preserved are borrowed to read, and 1 have lent mine for six mib s around our district. People h-ve come iS miles to get me to buy the medicine for them, knowing that it cured me, and to be sure to get the right kdid. I know a woman who was looking like death, and who told them there wasno help for her, that she had consulted several do lors, but none could he ! p her. I told her of Seigel’s Syrup, and wrcle the name down for her that she might make no mistake. She took my adv’cc and the Syrup, and now she is in perfect health, and the people around us are amazed. The medicine has made such progress in our neighborhood that people say they don’t want the dcctorany more, hut they take the Syrup. Sufferers from gout who were confined to their bed and could hardly move a finger, have been cured by it. There is a girl in our district who caught a cold by going through some water, and was in bed five years with cosliveness and rheumatic pains, and had to have an attendant to watch by her. There was not a doctor in the surrounding districts to whom her mother had not applied to relieve her child, but every one crossed themse ves and said they could not help her. Whenever the little bell rang which is rung in our place when somebody is dead, we thought surely it was for her, but Seigel s Syrup and Pills saved her life, and now she is as healthy as anybody, goes to church, and can work even in the fields. Everybody was astonished to see her out, knowing how many years she had been in bed. To-day" she adds her gratitude Jo mine for God’s mercies and Siegel’s Syrup. - ’
