FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
At the date of the departure of the San Francisco mail 8000 sheep of the Dunedin’s cargo of frozen m, at had been sold at from 4d to 4|d per lb. The Doric’s cargo was selling at from 4d to 5d for sheep, 5d to 6d for lamb, and 4|d to 5Jd for beef. A small portion of the Kaikoura’s cargo had been sold at for sheep from 4d to 4Jd, for lamb from 5d to 6d, and for beef 4Jd to 5Jd. Of the Arawa’s cargo 400 sheep had been sold at from 4d to 4|d, and 110 pieces of beef at from 4fd to s}d. English mutton was selling at from 4s 8d to 5a 4d per stone, Scotch at 5s to 5s 4d, New Zealand at 2s 9d to 3s, Melbourne at 2s 6d to 2s Bd, and River Plate at >s 4d to 2a Bd.
