At the Stark Purchase 'Enquiry to-day D. Chambers, Secretary to the Vigilance Committee, in his evidt-nca made some st-ong reflections on Sir J. Vogel Mr D.vid Goldie, Chairman of the Vigilance Committee detailed the circumuauces of Sir J. Vogel and the Hon Mr Richardson and Mr Stark all being present on certain dates at Waiwera The inference made by witness was that during the interviews the sale of property was negotiated. He believed the public had bean robbed of £9OOO, but declined to name who in his belief were the chief conspirators. Wellington, October 21.
