False pretences. \v ELLINGTON, October 20. At the R.M. Court Clem nt Harding was committed for trial on three charges of obtaining money by false pretences.
Forging- , Two further charges against Cheymol for forging bond warrants were withdrawn, the Crown reserving the right to indict him in the Supreme Court when previous charges come on for hearing.
Christchurch Races. Chhistchdroh. October 20 Brigadier has been scratched for all hia engagements at the Metropolitan meeting on account of lameness.
