SAD FATALITY.
Wellington, September 27. On Saturday afternoon a distresdng and fatal accident occurred atDalefield, a saw milling township in fhe Wairarapa, to a lad named Alfred Watersou, aged thirteen years, youngest son of Mr John Watereon, who was ergaged in assisting one of hia brother iu erecting a wire fence. The brother had been putting a sXr.dning post in a hole, and asked tho lad A\fred to hold it The post slipped, and in falling struck Alfred on tho left temple. The blow knocked him down with the back of his h,-ad on fho sharp stump of a tree, smash ng it in, and the boy died ten minutes after th.i accident.
