BRITISH AND FOREIGN [ltßOT*a TSI.XOKAM8 —COPTBIOHT ] PROROGATION OF PARLIAMENT. Losnoif, September 25. Parliament has been prorogued until November nth. The Speech from the Throne stated that the Great Powers had assured the Turkish Government that no infringement of the Treaty of Beilin, would be allowed. The speech declared that on all sides there has been observed a desire to draw closer the bonds of union between the different parts of the Empire. Her Majesty’s Government had communicated with the Governments of the principal colonies with a view to the further consideration of their common Interests. The English and American Governments were examining into the fisheries disputes, in order to find the bases of a treaty for reciprocal fishery rights between Canada and America. AQUATICS, Lonrorr, September 25. The sculling match championship between Beach and Wallace Ross was rowed on the Thames to-day. Beach led from the start to finish, ultimately winning by five lengths.
