London, September 23, Conso’i remain at iooJi. The Bank of England weekly returns show the total reserve of notes and bullion to be an. Increase of 3 0,000 during the week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities has been reduced to 48 per cent. At the wool sales to-day 15,000 bales were offered. A strong tone again prevailed. Fine greasy crossbreds are now ruling at ad to a}4 higher than at the close of the July sales; coarse ciossbreds to ad higher. Since the opening of the present series the withdrawals from sale have amounted to 12,000 bales. London, September 24. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is t,670,000. quarters, being an increase of 20,000 quarters for the week.

The catalogue for to-day’s sale comprised 12,000 bales.
