Mr E. G. Stavely (for New Zaaland Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports on live stick sale, 21st inst. : —About 4500 sheep and 40 head of catt'e formed the day’s supply. There was a good attendance, and business was brisker A strong inquiry was manifested for good young crossbreds, and, under keen competition, enhanced values resulted, almost every lot changing hands, forward crossbred wethers made 9s 10d. 10s Id, 10s 01 and up to 12s ; do mixed sexes, 10s 31 and 10s 6d ; forward merino wethers, 6s 9 1 ; fat lambs, 7s 6d ; medium crossbiei hoggets, 6s 2d and 6s lOd ; good do, 7s 11, 7 s lOd and 8s; good merino ewes, in lamb, 6s 8 I ; poo- do, 3s lid ; goad merino ewes, with 90 per cent crossbred iambs, 6s 2J. Ca tie were without alteration. Urdinary fat cows, £4 16a ; medium dairy do ; £4 and £0 16j apiece,
