A jewel case containing articles to the value of between £IOO and £l5O was abstracted from the portmanteau of Mr Gerald Pnrcell Fitzgerald, who, it is understood, is not a son but a nephew of the Duke of Leinster. Up to the present time the Christchurch police have no clue to the perpetrator. Latbb, The value of Mr Fitzgerald’s missing jewellery was £97, and there were also two cheques value £IOO, the payment of which has been stopped. The robbery took place on the night ofJSeptember Bth, The whole affair appears very mysterious, as n > one is known to have been near the room except a person who is above suspicion.
