AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT. Maophers.n, Sampson and Co. report upon their weekly sale, he'd at the Central Auction Mart, on Saturday, 11th September :—Owing to the farmers being buay laying down their crops during the few fine days we bad towards the end of last week, the entries of horses and cattle we anticipated did not come forward : Pigs (stores), 4s 2d ; poultry, la 4d, Is 6d, Is 9d, 2s per pair ; potatoes, 4s 9d, 5s 3d, 6s 3d per sack ; oats (Tartars), 2a 2s 2d per bushel, Canadian, 2s 3d; carrots, 3s per sack; onions, lid per lb ; apples, 3a 3d per case. Mutton hams, 4d par lb ; mutton (fresh), 2d. A number of well-made hurdles, 3s 9d each; A considerable quantity of drapsry and sundries sold at satisfactory prices. Cheitsey Stock Saleyards, Monday, 13th September :—ln consequence of the inclemency of the weather the entry was very email, and buyers were as few in number. Out of an entry of about 1000 sheep there was only one line of 224 crossbred ewes and lambs (percentage of lambs about 120) sold, at 7s. No other stock came forward save a few pigs, that were sold at equally low prices.
