Gentlemen riders. Entrance, 1 sovs, 14 mile. District horses only. Totalihatob Stakes, of 15 sovs minimum weight, Bst : nomination 1 sov, to bo made to the Secretary immediately after the Ladies’ Purse is run. The winner to be sold immediately after the race for 10 sovs, any surplus to go to the funds of the Club. I mile. Flying Handicap, of 40 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov ; acceptance, 1 sov. Second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stake, 4 mile. Consolation Handicap, of 20 sovs ; nomination, 1 sov, to ho made to tho Secretary immediately after the Flying Handicap is run ; acceptance, free, to bo notified to tho Secretary within 10 minutes of declara’ion of weights. 1 mile.
RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points connected with carrying out this programme to be final. 2. A district horse shall mean any horse that has been commonly resident in the district lying between the rivers Selwyn and Wailaki from July Ist 1886, and up to the da'e of the forthcoming meeting and owned by a person who has resided in the said distr' ct during the same period. 3. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable in accordance with this programme for expentes of the course. 4. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS. All nominations to be accompanied by fees, name, age and description of horse, and colors of rider, and In the hands of the Secretary (address —Ashburton) not lat-r than 9 p. m. on Monday November 1 1886 WEIGHTS. Weights for the first day’s handicaps will be declared on Monday November 16 18S6. Weights for the second day’s handicaps will be declared at 9 o’clock on the evening of the first day’s racing.
