DFP TATIOH. Mr Walsh waited on iheßoardand asked
for ford at e id of Headley's road instead of sma'l culvert at presin there. He also stated that the ru'vert across Oorboii’* Road from Gorbetrs corner towards the school was too sra ill make ford at end of road and culvert opposite Pitt’s when drain was completed. CLO ED ROAD. It was resolved that the Surveyor take I the necessary proceedings to close the road between Trevu-zt'a and Hampson’s. EESESVES
The Surveyor w»s * mpowered to make rrangements for letting reserves. SUBVc YOB’S report The Surveyor’s report was read as ollows Seafield Road —According to netruolions tenders were called foe [rubbing uo to* cka on this road, and iVhit ington and Co, 3£d per chain, scsspted. The contractors are proceeding with the work- Fords on Corbett’s and Hibson's Roads—These 0 works have not yet been put in hand owing to the state of the weather. Sheep bridge, Cochrane’* Road—This work has been completed. Smith field Road—The bridge over creek on tSU toad requital replank log which has accordingly been done. Hailcoat of this will be refunded by the Hakatare Town roar;*. Piatt’tions—One of t’ C plantations on Wilson’s road has been robbed several t inea of a number of trees. . We h ve put the mrlter into the hands »f the police. River road—The Committee to deal with the road has been prevented by the bad wea’her meeting at the appointed linns. Boundary road—Rails have been put iu near the end of the ro»d. The report w»s adopted. RIVER ROAD. I Mr Wilscn interviewed the Board on the matter, — l’he Clerk was instructed to I communicate with Mr W. Jameson and Mr S. Brown in order to ascertain the cist of sufficient land to connect the Beach road wi.h Wilson’« road.
