l.ouilon Markets. [bETUER’s TELEGRAMS COPYRIGHT. ] London, August 26. Consols remain at New Zealand securities and breadstuff's are unaltered. The directors of the Bank of England have increased the rate of discount by i per cent. The market rate remains at per cent and 34 per cent below the Bank rate. The weekly returns of the Bank of England, published to day, show a total reserve in notes and bullion of or less than last week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities remains at 44 per cent.
