Constantinople, August 25,
Prince Alexander is reported to have arrived at Reni (Moldavia), on the Danube, and proceeded thence towards the Austrian frontier. The Government which was formed at Sophia, the Bulgarian capital, on the deposition of Prince Alexander, has been overthrown. Zankoff, the leader of the rebellion, and others who formed the Government, have been arrested. Constantinople, August 26. M. Stambouloff, who formed the second Provisional Government for Bulgaria at Tirnova, has issued a proclamation, announcing the establishment of martial law, and General Murkatoff has been appointed Commander of the Army, with full powers.
No definite information has been received as to the movements of Prince Alexander, and his whereabouts is involved in complete mystery. Vienna August £6.
Prince Bismarck and M. de Giers (Russian Prime Minister) are now holding a meeting at Franzenbad, Northern Bohemia.
