ASHBURTON COURSING CLUB
The final meeting of the Ashburton Coursing Club w;;s hel t on the Laghraor estate yesterday. The weather was very favorable and hares were p’entiful and exceptionally strong. Mr J. Cress wol', of Hororata, officiated as judge, and Mr J. Porter as slipper, and both gentlemen were successful in the discharge of their duties. At the conclusion of the day’s sport hearty votes of thanks were accorded to Mr D. M. Ross, of Timaru, who had rendered signal service to the Club in a variety of ways during the past season, to the Judge, and to Mr Donald McLean, to whom the Club is indebted for permission to hold its meetings on the Laghmor estate. The following are the results :
