CHEAP MONEY.

TO THE EDITOR, Sir, —The publication of Mr Kolleston’s remarks gives us about the first outside opinion that we, who do not read Hansard, have had an opportunity of learning. Many members seem to have voted for Mr Maoandrew’s Bill as a “ safe thing,” knowing very well that they could then appear before their constituents as friends of the cheap money scheme, although they were quite aware that the Bill would not become Jaw, It almost seems as if the pretty Public Advances on Land Bill were introduced to keep out the measure meant to help mortgagors, which Mr Maoandrew's Bill did not attempt to do. The farmers must judge their members more by what they accomplish and less by what they advocate.—l am, Ac. A.G.
