Handicap Hurdle Back, of 15 both, over eight flights of hurdles, about 3ft C'n high ; nomination, 10s; acceptance, 6s. Open 1 6 district horses that have been regularly hunted with the Ashburton Hounds. Two Miles. Hunt Club Steeplechase Cnp(handicap minimum weight lOst), of 30 sovs (trophy or cash ; nomination, 1 sov ; acceptances, 10s ; open to all qualified hunters ; amateur riders only. About three miles over fair hma'ing country. Selling Hack Bace, of 10 bo-s ; post entry, 10s; no weight under 9st; the winner to be sold by auction immediately after the race, amount realised above 15 sovs to go to the funds of the Club. Three-quarter of a mile on the fiat. Maiden Steeplechase Plate, of 15 sovs, for horses that have never won an advertised steeplechase; weight for ago ; entrance, 15s. Open to all district horses that have been regularly hunted with the Ashburton Hounds. About two miles. Hunter’s Fiat Bace Handicap, of 15 sovs ; minimum weight. 10st ; nomination, 10s ; acceptance, 6s. Open to all qualified hunters. Horses before starting for this aco must qualify over a hurdle to the satisfaction of the Stewards Two miles. Consolation Handicap Steeplechase, of 10 sovs ; nomination, 10s; acceptance free. One and a half miles.

RULES AND REGULATIONS . No entry will be received except on I the condition that all disputes, claims, snd objections arising out of the racing shall bo decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint; their decision on all points connected with carrying out this programme to be final. 2. Grand National Steeplechase Buies adhered to when applicable. * 3, A district horse shall mean any orso that his been commonly resident In the Ashburton County from May 18, 1886, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in the said County during the same period.—A qualified hunter shall mean any horse that has been fairly hunted, nt least three times, with any recognised pack of hounds during the season 1886. 4. Five per *»nt. will be deducted from the gross of all moneys payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the course; 5. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club. 6. An amateur rider shall be any person who has never ridden for hire, and who is a member of a recognised Hunt Club. 7. Professional riders wiU be required to carry 71b extra, in all races to which *hey are admitted, except in Hack Race. 8. Nominations, accompanied by fees, age, description of horse, and of rider, and a master of hounds’cervificate ns to the qualification, must be in the hands of the Secretary not later than p.ro, on Saturday, August 7. 9.
