FINANCIAL STATEMENT.
Increased Taxation. (rBTUEB’s TELEGRAMS —COPYRIGHT ] Brisbane, August 20. The Colonial Treasurer introduced the Financial Statement intn the Legislative assembly last night. He estimates the revenue lor the year 1886-7 at 000,000, expenditure at j£s,oyo,°oo. It is proposed to cover the deficiency by increasing ad valotem duties to per cent., and levying succession duties.
