1 Mesa’s Matson Cox and Co report upon the Live Stock Market for the week ending August 3rd, as followsOn Tuesday, at the Tinwald Yards, vie held our usual weekly sale of sheep, cattle, and pigs, Tho entry for the day was the smallest we have had during the year, and the attendance was small, and bidding very slack. In sheep there was a small entry both in fat and scores, no doubt owing to the cold and[wet weather a much smaller entry came forward than I we anticipated and feed is still very difficult to procure. In cittle there was also & limited [entry, and those who ate forced to bring forward any bat fat cattle must book to sacrifice theqi until the spring feed s aris. Fat Sheepred'tied tor cross-bred ewes, 7a 6d, 7a 81 to 8» lOd; Stores, merino ewes, 4i to 3a Id ; cress, bred lambs, 5 > 6d ; and several I naa were withdrawn at that figure. 1 1 cattle—Fat cow*, £7 7« 6i ; a‘o:e, 18 month steets, £2 11s to 30-s In pigs none c-nne foryarc*.
