Melbourne, July 30

Mr Patton, who has been engaged in missionary work in the New Hebrides, had an interview with the Premier today on the subject of the French occupation of those islands. Mr Patton stated, in the course of conversation, that the repotted outrages upon French subjects by the natives of the New Hebrides were unsubstantiated.
