A MISSING TOURIST

Mr R. M. Cotton, of Lake Coleridge Canterbury, who, with his wife, arrived hero yesterday afternoon, and pat ap at the Palace hotel, has been missing since sp.m. A diligent and efficient search was Kept up all night bat no trace can be found of him. To-day search pari ies are being organised and a reward is offered. Every possible means are being used and a number of natives are now searching, all being ambitions to join in the search. It appears after Mr Gotten came oat of* the bluebath he returned to the upper town and went Into Mrs Morrison's hotel for a short time and instead cf going back to his own hotel be wound his way down to Brent’s boarding house, from where he was direc ed back to the Palace hotel. This, it is believed, was the last seen of him.
