I la the R.M. Court, A. J. Hoskins, publisher and proprietor of tho Wellington Advertiser, was committed for trial for alleged libel on Sir J. Vogel. The alleged libel is contained in :n article imputing gross j ibbery and corruption to Sir J. Vogel in connection with the sale of the debentures of the VVaimate Railway. ' Admissions aajto publuation were made, bat no evidence was taken. Bail was allowed, in own recognisances c| £IOO.
