The following ia the Corn Exchange 1 report for the week ending Friday, July : 23rd Wheat—This market ha? seen a fair amount (f business daring tl e week, and prices have closed firm, with a good enquiry; Se- oral interprovincial orders are on hand, nnd local millers are always preoared to augment the stocks. Tuscan and Pearl are in request. Tne former Is rather scarce at 4s Id to 4i 3J. Pearl Is taken up at 4 Id to 4s 2d. Hunter’s is held more plentifully, and has no enquiry over 4s. Sec .nd quality is Id to 31 lower. Chick wheat is offering in small lots at 3s 4d to 3s 6d. Oats are hardly so firm. Large quantities are offered, with little business doing, outside requirements for the time being very limited. Prime milling are in limited supply at 2s sd| to 2s fid. Short feed are quiet at 2s 41; long sorts are dull at 2e 3d; inferior samples, 2s. Barley is dull, with little or no trade and prices are without change. Beans and Peas—For feed these have a fair trade enquiry,

and price* range from 3s Id to 3s 4d. Prussian bines fit for seed are hard to obtain at 4s J3d to 4$ fid, Byr grass has plenty of buyers. Machine dressed Is quoted at 6s to 5s fid. Farmers’ clean parcels ate quitted at 4« to 4s fid. Cocksfoot has an upward tendency. Holders of clean heavy seed are asking 4id, but business at this price is very limited. Light inferior seed is being placed in sraall’quantities at 31 to 3jd. Potatoes have barely maintained their value, more sellers being in the market, hot we anticipate that the depression is only temporary, and we still quote at 52i fid to 55s for early delivery at country stations Dairy produce remains qaier, and prices are unaltered The above quotations (potatoes excepted) are for delivi ry f.o b.
