No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims,' and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom bey may appoint ; their decision on all poi ts connected with carrying out this rogrammo to be final. 2. Grand National Steeplechase Rules adhered to when applicable. •5 A district horse shall mean any horse hat* as been commonly resident in the Ashburton County from May 18, 1886, and up to the date of the forthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in the said County during the same period,—A qualified hunter shall mean any horse that has been fairly hunted, at least three time q with any recognised pack of hounds during the season 1886. 4. Five per cent, will bo deducted from the gross of all moneys payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the course. 5. All nominations and a ceptances go to the funds of the Club. 6. An amateur rider shall be any person who has never ridden for hire, and who is a member of a recognised Hunt Club 7. Professional riders will be required to carry 71b extra, in all races to which they are admitted, except in Hack Race. 8. Nominations, accompanied by fees, name, age, description of horse, and colors of rider, and a master of hounds’ certificate ns to the qualification, must bo in l tie hands of the Secre'ary not later than p.m. on Saturday, August 7. 9 Weights will be declared on Thur ay, August 12. 10.
