THE AUSTRALIANS AT HOUR [eeutee’s TELEGRAMS -copyright ] London, July 12. The Australians cricketers commenced a match to day at Sheffield against eleven of Yorkshire, composed as follows :—Bon M. B. Hawke, Bates. Emmet HaU. Hunter, Lee. Peate, Peel, Ulyett, Preston and Wade. The weather was fine and the attendance enormous. An excellent wicket was pitched, and the groopd was in first-rate order. The visitors went first to the wickets, the innings dosing for a total of 276. The highest individual scores were ; Jones (bowled), 26 ; Tremble (bowled), 45; Palmer (run out), 94; Spofforth (not out), 37. When stumps were drawn for the day, the Home team had made 42 without the loss of a wicket, London, July 13.

The cricket match, Australians v Yorkshire, was resumed to-dsy, at Sheffield. The weather was fine again,, and the attendance enormous.
