ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET.

At the Addington Saleyards yesterday there was a large attendance, bat very little animation in the demand.

Cattle. —Rather above the average supply of thej,last few seeks was yat led, but the proportion of prime beef was small. First-class animals sold welt at full rates, bat the ordinary desoripton dragged somewhat, and last week’s prica were iu some instances barely maintained, Steers sold £5 15s up to £9 9s, and a very grand one sold at the exceptions! price of £l3 10a, to Messrs Hopkins and 00. Best beef was worth fully £l, ordinary about 17s to 18s per 1001 b, some being sold at even lower figures Stores showed no change compared with recent markets.

Sheep.—The market was over-supplied and the Bales opened very dull, and, though prices picked up a little as the day wont on, the only descriptions which nearly maintained last week’s values were the best lines of shop sheep. Buyers for freezing were very lethargic biddeis and some small good lines for this trade were sold at a drop (f la 6d a head from late quotations. O dinary mutton was also -eoidedly weaker, and the price has once more 'elapsed to the quota tion of IJd to lAd pet lb. Very few good sheep were yarded.
