LAND NATIONALISATION.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— “ Radical's” blood is evidently up, and, by way of soothing kirn, allow me to state that I had no idea of charging him with “ignorance,” and only used the words “ want of knowledge” in a negative sense, and in which sense it may be used in reference to the wisest of men, because none are perfect in knowledge. Again, I did not “ insinuate that he was childish.” I simply said “ I thought his answer was a little childish ” If, however, he thinks that both the above terms are applicable to him, and wishes to appropriate them, I have no objection. But I must still maintain that the illustration of the “ eggs and watches” is on a par with what he said respecting taxes. If I have misunderstood him. I do not th nk that it is my fault. Or if the eggs have proved too much for him, I cannot help it.

I would, however, like to point out to him that to make statements and not prove them, but to ferret for information by asking the other side questions, is not very dignified, and as the questions of ‘‘ Land, Labor, and Taxes” are worthy of better treatment than simply playing on words, or arguing in a circle, until ho proves his statement that “ land is the source of all wealth, and that it does ultimately bear all the taxes,” I must decline to fo low him further- But when he demonstrates the above, I will attempt to prove that to tax laud apd not labor, and vice versa, would be to make th« one rich and the other poor I am, &c., Luoidak.
