Messrs Matson, Cos and Co report upon the Live Stock Market for the Ashburton Listrict, foi the week ending June 29th, as follows :—At the Ashburton Yards on Tuesday we he d our usual weekly ‘ sals of Sheep. Cattle, and Pigs. The entry for the day was smaller than usual, bnt we are pleased to notice that the improvement quoted in our report of last week was fully maintained, and any lines of good forward stores are now competed for with some spirit. Fat sheep are becoming c.cgrc.3 and have risen considerably in the Ohristohurcu market. We sold fat merino wethers at (Is 3d; orsssbred ewes, Vs , wethers, 8s (Id to 8s 9s ; store, in poor condition, crossbred two-tooth, 4s 9d; old merino ’ owes, Is 2d to Is id; no lambs on olior.
