RAILWAY CATASTROPHE.

Loss of Life. Hobakx, July 1. While a special train was returning from the opening of the railway to Fingal yesterday it left the rails at a place about twenty miles from this city, and became a complete wreck, The engine was shattered, the driver being killed on the spot, and the stoker has since died from injuries received. Two carriagas were telescoped. Among the passengers were Mr Goods, Attorney-General, Mr Burgess, Colonial Treasurer, the Mayor and six aldermen, Press Representatives and several others, who were more oi less seriously mjuredr The Premier P'r Andrew was severely shaken.
