The Home team in their second innings made a poor stand against the bowling of Qiffen, and only succeeded in putting together 63 runs. The Australians thus had only 31 runs to get to win. These they obtained with the loss of but two wickets and won the match with eight to spare. In the first innings of the Englishmen Spoffonh took 6 wlcktti for 70 runs ; in the second innings tsiffen took 7 for 20, the bowling being splendid.
