THE ENQUIRY,
Timaku, June 23. he enquiry into the wreck of the Lt ttelton was continued to-day. Captain Hill, of the Grafton, was exa mined at considerable length. He threw no light upon the cause of the accident, but s id ho could not tow the vessel io sen in the direction he wished, because the tow rope was not payed out from the Lyttelton quickly enough. At the luncheon adjournment the examination-in-chief was concluded The enquiry will not be finished until the end of the week, if so soon.
