He said he was convinced the people of Great Britain were resolved that autonomy was necessary for Jrelaijd, and he urged the real issue was the question of the creation of a Parliament in that country. He expressed the opinion that the proposals of those in favor .of Ireland seceding from the union were both halting and visionary. The Marquis of Salisbury spoke tonight at Leeds. In the course of his 1 speech he denied he was an advocate of coercion for Ireland. He stated that he desired a d.!je observance of law, and took occasion to adjure Conservatives to support those in favor of tfie ifiaintenance of the Union.
