The whale ship Petrel enquriy terminated yesterday at Bussell when Oaptain Reid, the mate, and the second mate, made statements denying the charges of cruelty and accelerating the death of eome of the men. The police have taken possession of the ship—two constables were on board all night and neither of the accused was allowed on board this morning. The third has consented to take charge of the ship.
