About ten last night Michael Luiin, residing at North Shore, attempted to murdered hia wife and a mau nemod George McGuire by shooting them wbh a revolver. Mrs Turin had loft hor husband aud was living with McGuire. I ast night whoa going to see her five children hor husband fired 2 shot* at hor, one lodging in her groin the second grazing her head ; he afterwards ah>>t twice at McGuire, but missed him. Bunn waa arrested shortly after. The wife’s wound la serious. The prisoner says ho is sorry he did not kill both. He bought the revolver since h's wife left him evidently for the purpose.
