On Tuesday evening last an entertainment was given at the Old Men’s Home, which was apparently much enjoyed by the inmates* Mesdames Crisp, A, Curtis, Thomas, Clar_ idge, and Messrs H. Oates and Claridge | kindly gave several musical selections, and the Bev. E. E. Otway gave a short account of a trip from Napier to the Lake District. The master expressed the thanks of the inmates for the pleasant evening they hod spent, and the meeting closed by all joining in the National Anthem. It is purposed to continue these entertainments from time to time, and the master of the Home will bo pleased to confer with any persons who may be disposed o render assistance it) ibis way. «
