The Belfast mob fought with des perate courage in the recent riots women girls, and boys taking pait in it. Four people having no connection with the tiots were killed. 1 he New Parliament.
The New Parliament will probably meet in October. The Unionists hope to return 430 members, and the Conse natives expect lo gain thirty.
Free Education. It is understood that Mr Gladstone intends to offer free education as part of his future policy. Mr Chamberlain’s Manifesto. London Juno 13. Mr Chamberlain has issued an electoral manifesto to his Birmingham consultants. Referring in it to the Irish question, he advocates a scheme whereby England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland would he endowed with similar powers of autonomy. Mr Gladstone Critiased.

A manifesto which has been issued crushingly criticises Mr Gladstone’s action on his Irish proposals.
Sir Charles Dilke’s Opinion Sir Charles Dilke is of opinion that a large measure dealing with autonomy for Ireland is necessary.
