The cricket match!Australians v. Cambridge University Eleven commenced at Cambridge today. There was a good attendance. Rain fell during the day at intervals, and the wicket was heavy owing to recent wet weather. The Australians went first to the wickets, and succeeded in putting together 146 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Glffen and Bruce ware the highest t carers, the latter playing a brilliant innings for 54 runs, during which he batted splendidly, and never ,ave a chance. The Cambridge fielding was excellent, some splendid catches being made. The bowling wa> dead on the wicket.
