Australian opinion is divided, but 1 did not anticipate any difficulty in a general consent such as would warrant Her Majesty’s Government in taking any steps. Despatches have not yet been received from all the Colonies, but private intimation has been given tho French Ambassador as to the probable result Formal reply has been deferred ponding the receipt of despatches.” Adelaide, Juno 1.
