Consols are unaltered. New Zealand securities—The 5 per cent. loan remains at last quotations; 4% per cent 10s ; 4 per cent. £<)§ 10s. The rate of discount is unchanged. Colonial breadstuff's—Adelaide wheat, per 4g6lbs, is quoted at 355, ex store. - Adelaide flour per aSolbs. 245. New Zealand wheat, per 4961b5, ex store, ranges from 28s to 345, according to grade. Tallow—Mutton, fair average quality, 23s 6d; beef 23s per cwt. New Zealand frozen mutton is slightly better, SJZ being .obtainable in Smithfield Market for prime quality. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,970,000 quarters.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has just received the following cablegram from London, dated 28th May, xSS6 : —“ Wool— The sales by private contract now comprise 15.000 bales. Trade in the manufacturing districts is slightly better, and prospects for next sales are improving. The Antwerp sales were brisk, and have closed at an average improvement of id to xon last sale prices. Tallow—Market brisk. Stocks are within moderate compass. The demand is partly speculative. Good mutton tallow is worth 25s 6d ; fine beef, 24s 6d ; and good beef, 22s §d per cwt ”
