[Per Press A ssociaxion, ] LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Tuesday, May 25, The House met at 2.30 p.m. OTAGO CENTRAL AND MIDLAND RAILWAYS. Mr Buckley, realying to Mr Hart, gave some particulars with regard to the Otago Central and Midland Hallways. BILLS. The Lost Debentures Bill and the Police Force Bill were progressed a stage. HOUSE OF EEPRESENTTIAVES. Tuesday, May 25, The House met at 2.30 p.m. QUESTIONS.
Replying to a question Mr Stout said the Government would introduce a Bill to provide for the hours of polling being extended till 7 p.m. Other questions of an unimportant character were answered.
Several new Bills were introduced, and the Alienation of Land Bill was read a second time. ThejHouse rose at 4.30 p.m. EVENING SITTING, The House met at 7.30 p.m. A message was received from the Governor, enclosing the estmates for the year. In Committee of supply Sir J. Voge[ made his Financial S'atement, after which the House at once adjourned at 9 15 p.m.
