HOUSE MARKET.

Mr T. Bullock reports for the week ending Saturday, May 22nd—There was a largo entry of horses, viz., 35. and for anything like useful medium draughts, suitable for farm work, the biddings were spirited, and all the entries of this class were cleared at rather advance rates compared with previous .'■ales, but no really first class draughts were offered. For hacks there appeared to be little demand. Light harness burses of a good stamp were also sold at fair market rates, but for inferior the biddings were not so keen. Out of the total day’s entry of 35, 22 were sold at the following prices viz. ;—Medium draughts, five and six years old, of a rather light description, £ls 10s to £lB 10s ; three and four years old, £l2O 10s to £23 10s ; do of a rather lighter description. £ll 10s to £ls ; seven year olds, £l3 to £lO ; aged, of a good stamp, £ll 15s to £l7 ; rather inferior, £0 10s to £ll ; light harness horses of a fairly good stamp, £l2 5s to £l3 ; hacks the bay filly “ Viper ” only brought £0 10s; scrubbers at low rates. Sundries—Second-hand dray, £ll 15s. LANDED PROPERTIES Previous to the horse sale. I offered two j town sections in Tinwakl, viz., 152, corner jf [ McMurdo and Jane streets, and 170, Thompson street, which were both sold. T.S. 152 ; brought £37, and 170 £23. Considering the i state of the land market, these may be con- ; sidered satisfactory prices.
