Grand Stand Handicap of 50 nova ; nomination, laov; acceptance, 1 aov. Second horse to receive 10 sova from the atake. Seven furlonga. 3. Harvest Handicap of 30 sova ; nomination, 1 aov ; acceptance, I aov, mile. District horses only. 4. Open Welter Handicap of 40 sova ; nomination, 1 aov ; acceptance, 1 aov ; minimum weight 10 atone. 2 miles. For horses that have never won more than 25 sova in one event on the flat. 5. Scratch Selling Race of 15 aovs ; entrance 1 aov, to be made to the Secretary immediately after the Open Welter is run. Catch weights. | mile. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. No entry will be received except on the condition that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall bo decided by the Stewards, or whom +hey may appoint; their decision on all points connected with carrying out this programme to be final. 2 A district horse shall moan any horse that has been commonly resident in the district lying between the rivers Solwyn and Waltaki from January 15, 886, and up to the date of the furthcoming meeting, and owned by a person who has resided in the said district during the same period. 3 Five per cent will be deducted from the gross of ell moneys payable in accordance with this programme for expenses of the course. 4. All nominations and acceptances go to the funds of the Club. NOMINATIONS. Ail nominations to be accompanied by foes, name, age and description of horse, and colors of rider, and in the hands of the Secretary (address —Ashburton) not later than 9 p,m. on Thursday, April 15, 1886,
WEIGHTS. Weights for the first day’s handicaps will be declared on Saturday, May 8, 1886. Weights for the second day’s handicaps will be declared at 8 o’clock on the evening of the first day’s racing. ACCEPTANCES. Acceptances for the first day’s handicaps must >e made to the Secretary not later than 9 p.m. on* WEDNESDAY, May 12, 1886.
