London May 18. The debate on the Home Rule Bill was resumed in the House of Commons last night. Sir Bichard Cross spoke at some length in opposition to the Bill which, he stated, offered no prospect of finality of legislation, nor the establishment of good Government in the country. Mr Stanslield expressed himself warmly in defence efthe measure, which, he declared, would smooth the way for federation and strengthen the union of the British Empire.
