i We clip the following from a recent “ Argus ” commercial article :—“ Further particulars are to hand regarding the Indian wheat crop. According to the officjal reports the crops in some of the largest districts are not expected to be up to the average. The acreage is put down at 25,350,000 acres, being a [decrease of 2,449,200 acres on the area sown last year. This, at the average of 10 bushels to the acre (last year’s average) will give a deficiency of 3,150,000 quarters as compared with the previous year, A difference in the yield of one bushel per acre would mean a difference in the yield of over 3,000,000. quarters.
