THE RICKARDS-RAYNOR COMPANY.
There was a crowded house at the Oddfellow’s Hall last evening on the occasion of the appearance of the Ivickards-llaynor Company. The bill of fare comprised what was described in the programme as “ (lie original, comical, musical absurdity, Bric-a-Brac.” The characters, of which there was a host, were sustained by Messrs Harry llickards, Harry and Chas. llaynor, Crcmar, Phillips, and Misses Kate Leete, Nellie Wilson and Ada Juneen. The piece went well from start to finish, and was provocative of the most intenke amusement among the audience. The llaynor Bros, and Mr Harry llickards were particularly good in their respective characters, and we must not omit to mention Mr Edgar Austin, the “ lightning artist,” who in an incredibly short space of time produced sketches of well-known personages of the present day. The company will appear again this evening, when the comedy of “ Spoons ” by Mr Garnet Walsh will be presented, and judging by last night’s success, we have no hesitation in predicting another crowded house.
