MR IVESS AT PENDARVES.
Mr Ivoss addressed a large mooting o settlers resident in the Pendarves district, in the Schoolroom, on Monday evening last Mr W. H. Bull was voted to tho chair, and, in opening tho proceedings, he remarkee that at all previous contests he had voted against the present member for Wakanui, but, so far as he could see at present, he was likely to support Mr Ivess at the ensuing election, as he was ;quue satisfied at the manner that gentleman had attended to the wants of this district. At tho close of Mr Ivesa’s address several questions were asked and satisfactorily answered, Mr McDonald moved, and Mr Vucetich seconded, a hearty vote of thanks and confidence in favor of Mr Ivess, which was carried' unanimously. A vote of thanks to the Chairman closed meeting.
