WAKANUI ELECTORATE.
‘I o tub Editor. Sir, —Does it not seem a good deal like impertinence on Mr Ivess’s part to be stumping the district and trying to entrap electors into [lodging themselves to vote for him at the next election when there is still another session of Parliament to be held? Who can say what the next session may bring forth, or what Mr Iveas’s conduct may be thereat] More over, it is not yet known what candidates will present themselves; and it is unwise for persons to tie themselves up with pledges before they know the choice which lies before them. Mr Ivess seems to trust a great deal more to vigorous canvassiug and "organisations, ’’ than to bis own merits, for the retention of his seat, and therein, perhaps, he shows true wisdom. I am, etc, Elecbor.
